howdy! I'm Ashley

Ashley (Black shirt).jpg

The mission-driven operations engine behind high-performing leaders. Across 15+ years, I've worn nearly every operational hat there is—executive assistant, board administrator, program coordinator, partnerships lead, and fractional consultant—and the through-line has always been the same: turn vision into execution, build systems that scale, and protect leadership capacity so organizations move with clarity and momentum.

That range is by design. Whether I'm embedded full-time or brought in on contract to solve a specific problem, I strengthen executive cadence, streamline decision-making, and translate priorities into workflows teams can actually follow. I've built that operational backbone inside organizations advancing voting rights, survivor advocacy, and Black maternal health—work where the stakes are high and the margin for chaos is low. From board materials that are audit-ready to events that feel seamless and operations that run without drama, I bring precision, calm, and a people-first approach. The result is leaders who get their time and focus back, and teams that move with momentum.

Where Strategy Meets Structure — and Leaders Get Their Time Back.

EXECUTIVE OPERATIONS WITH
PRECISION + HEART

Providing leaders with the structure, systems, and operational clarity needed to move organizations forward. A blend of precision and relational insight ensures that vision, strategy, and execution stay aligned.

my Executive Support Experience

Over the past 15+ years, I’ve supported 10+ CEOs and senior executives across a wide range of mission-driven, high-impact fields. My experience spans:

  • National civic engagement and democracy work, including large-scale C3/C4 voter engagement initiatives.

  • National nonprofits committed to the prevention of child sexual abuse, where I partnered with executive leadership to strengthen operations, partnerships, and advocacy efforts.

  • Survivor-centered movement work, providing high-level support to founders and leaders amplifying the voices and healing of survivors.

  • Major healthcare institutions, where I supported neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, and departmental leaders in fast-paced, high-stakes clinical environments.

Across all of these settings, my work has included complex calendar and inbox management, meeting preparation, communication support, cross-team coordination, operational systems design, and trusted partnership with leaders navigating sensitive, high-visibility, and high-pressure demands.

my EXPERTISE
as a Board Administrator

  • Guide board members from onboarding through ongoing governance needs, ensuring clarity, support, and seamless integration into the organization.

  • Plan and execute full board meetings end-to-end — timelines, agendas, materials, logistics, and follow-through.

  • Draft, format, and distribute all board communications with accuracy and professionalism.

  • Partner with legal counsel to prepare resolutions and unanimous written consents; manage signature collection via DocuSign; and maintain organized, audit-ready records.

  • Take clear, compliant board and committee minutes that withstand legal, financial, and audit review.

  • Prepare comprehensive board packets, meeting books, pre-reads, and supporting documentation.

  • Maintain strong, thoughtful relationships with board members — understanding that governance is both operational and relational (yes, even if that means sending someone their favorite soup after surgery).

Operational Systems & Workflow Design

  • Designed and implemented SOPs, workflows, and decision-making frameworks that streamline operations, reduce bottlenecks, and improve cross-team accountability.

  • Built customized systems using Asana, Monday.com, Trello, Notion, Airtable, Google Workspace, Slack Workflows, and AI-assisted automations to support planning, task management, communication, and documentation.

  • Created calendar architecture, meeting cadences, and operating rhythms that improved executive capacity, increased team alignment, and strengthened organizational flow.

  • Conducted audits of existing processes and redesigned workflows to increase clarity, reduce duplication of effort, and support long-term scalability and sustainability.

let's talk AI

I use AI as a quiet, efficient co-pilot to build smarter workflows in Slack, Asana, and Monday. Whether it's generating automated reminders, creating task dependencies, drafting communication templates, or designing step-by-step operational systems, AI helps me streamline processes so teams move faster with fewer bottlenecks. I use it to analyze patterns, surface insights, and build templates that scale — allowing me to focus on the high-touch, human side of executive operations.

My not-so-secret Superpowers

I may not wear a cape, but I bring a level of calm, structure, and strategic support that elevates every part of the organization — allowing everyone to focus on what they do best. Here’s what the first six months with me can look like for your org:

First 30 Days
Learn, Listen, Stabilize

31–60 Days
Organize, Streamline

61-90 Days
Lead, Execute

In the first month, I focus on understanding your culture, priorities, and systems while building trust across the organization. By Day 30, early wins are in motion and a clear operational roadmap is established.

This phase is all about creating structure—streamlining meetings, refining calendars, tightening communication rhythms, and building or updating SOPs. By Day 60, operations feel more organized, consistent, and predictable.

By the third month, I take full ownership of executive operations, governance workflows, and event coordination. Anticipation becomes proactive, and barriers are resolved before they surface.

Pink Gradient Background

By the time we reach Day 90, the work naturally shifts into a deeper level of partnership — one that only works if trust is present. At this stage, leaders must be willing to hand over the tools that allow me to fully support them: calendars, inboxes, communication channels, governance workflows, and access to the information needed to move priorities forward without constant checkpoints.

My goal during this phase is simple:
to earn your trust, protect your time, and remove friction — not add to it.

Days 91–120
Deepen Systems, Strengthen Flow

Days 121–150
Optimize, Expand Capacity

Days 151–180
Transform, Sustain Momentum

During months three and four, systems mature, collaboration strengthens, and organizational flow becomes smoother and more aligned. This is when the day-to-day starts feeling noticeably lighter for everyone.

This stage focuses on optimization—removing bottlenecks, enhancing workflows, and increasing capacity through better templates, processes, and communication systems.

By six months, the systems we’ve built together are fully operational, sustainable, and supporting long-term growth. The organization benefits from a steady operational rhythm that empowers leaders and teams to thrive.

who starts from
scratch? Not me!

I Don’t Start From Scratch —
I Bring a Toolkit and a Community.

When I join an organization, I bring a full ecosystem of templates, tools, workflows, and systems I’ve built and refined over 15+ years — and I also bring a community of experienced peers I can lean on when specialized questions or unique operational challenges come up. Calendaring frameworks, meeting prep templates, governance dashboards, event checklists, run-of-show structures, communication scripts, follow-up trackers — you name it, I’ve already designed it, tested it, and improved it across multiple environments. Your team doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel or spend months figuring out the basics; you get plug-and-play operational infrastructure on day one. My goal is always the same: accelerate clarity, reduce chaos, and give your organization the structure it needs quickly and sustainably.

a Scholar in Practice:

Alongside my work in executive operations, I’m also a proud student at Howard University, currently in the final stretch of completing my B.S. in Human Development. With 5 courses remaining and a 4.0 GPA, I’m deeply committed to finishing strong. Balancing full-time professional work with my studies has sharpened my discipline, expanded my research skills, and deepened my understanding of people, systems, culture, and organizational behavior—all of which strengthen how I show up professionally.

I’m also preparing for the next chapter: enrollment in a one-year, accelerated Graduate program. I've been accepted into two programs and am still weighing my options. My education isn’t separate from my work—it enhances it. Scholarship has shaped me into a more thoughtful leader, a more strategic problem-solver, and a more culturally grounded practitioner, and I carry that perspective into every space I enter.
